SONY XPERIA U

Sony Xperia U has been announced in February, 2012 and it is available in Market from May, 2012.

Sony Xperia U comes with the support of 2G and 3G service only.

The 2G support GSM 850/900/1800/1900 

The 3G supports in 2 types HSDPA 900/2100 (ST25i) and HSDPA 850/1900/2100 (ST25a).

Sony Xperia U comes with the facility of Mini-SIM. The total weight of the mobile is about 110g.

Display and Sound

The display of the new Xperia U is of TFT Capacitive touchscreen, with Scratch Resistant glass protection.

Sony Xperia supports Multi Touch facility which will respond to 4 fingers at a time and it supports upto 16M colors.

It has a 3.5mm jack for Head Phones (Sony 3D surround Sound audio Technology) and Loud Speaker is also provided.

 It supports Stereo FM radio with RDS.

The Call alerts in Sony Xperia U are by Vibration and MP3 ringtones only.

Memory and Data 

The internal memory of Xperia U supports 8 GB storage (4 GB user available) supported by 512 MB RAM.

There is no external card slot in this model.

It supports GPRS and EDGE facilities, with GPRS up to 107 kbps and EDGE up to 296 kbps.

The speed of Xperia U in HSDPA is 14.4 Mbps and in HSUPA 5.76 Mbps.

The wireless technology in Sony Xperia U supports Wi-Fi standard 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA and Wi-Fi HotSpot.

Bluetooth and USB

It supports Bluetooth of version 2.1 with A2DP, EDR.

It comes with micro USB v2.0, USB-on the go support.

Camera

Xperia U comes with 5 Mega pixel camera, with the rate of 2592 x 1944 pixels.

It has a LED flash and the auto focus facility.

The camera included the features like geo tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama and Image Stabilization.

The video recording facility is available at the rate of 720p@30fps.

The secondary video facility is available in VGA format.

It comes with a Li-ion 1320 mAh battery.

The stand by time is up to 260 hours for 2G & 472 hours for 3G facility.

The Talk time is up to 6 hours 36 min for 2G & 5 hours 36 min for 3G.

The music play time is up to 45 hours.
