SONY XPERIA S

Sony Xperia S has been announced in January, 2012 and it is available in Market from February, 2012.

Sony Xperia S comes with the support of 2G and 3G service only.

The 2G supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900 

The 3G supports  HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100 (LT26i).

Sony Xperia S comes with the facility of Micro SIM. The total weight of the mobile is about 144g.

Display and Sound

The display of the new Xperia S is of LED-backlit LCD Capacitive touchscreen, with Scratch Resistant glass protection.

Sony Xperia S supports Multi Touch facility which will respond to 10 fingers at a time and it supports up to 16M colors.

It has a 3.5mm jack for Head Phones and Loud Speaker is also provided.

It supports Stereo FM radio with RDS.

The Call alerts in Sony Xperia S are by Vibration and MP3 ringtones only.

Memory and Data 

The internal memory of Xperia S supports 32 GB storage supported by 1 GB RAM.

There is no external card slot in this model.

It supports GPRS and EDGE facilities, with GPRS up to 86 kbps and EDGE up to 237 kbps.

The speed of Xperia S in HSDPA is 14.4 Mbps and in HSUPA 5.8 Mbps.

The wireless technology in Sony Xperia S supports Wi-Fi standard 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA and Wi-Fi HotSpot.

Bluetooth and USB

It supports Bluetooth of version 2.1 with A2DP, EDR.

Xperia S supports Near Field Communication. (NFC)

It comes with micro USB v2.0.

Camera

Xperia S comes with 12 Mega pixel camera, with the rate of 4000 x 3000 pixels.

It has a LED flash and the auto focus facility.

The camera included the features like geo tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama and Image Stabilization.

The video recording facility is available at the rate of 1080p@30fps.

The secondary video facility is available via 1.3 MP camera at 720p@30fps.

Battery

It comes with a Non-Removable Li-ion 1750 mAh battery.

The stand by time is up to 450 hours for 2G & 420 hours for 3G facility.

The Talk time is up to 7 hours 30 min for 2G & 8 hours 30 min for 3G.

The music play time is up to 25 hours.
